Obituary of Ricky Barnhart

Ricky Lee Barnhart, 59, of Chesterfield, passed away Wednesday evening, January 8, 2020 at his home in Chesterfield, IL. Ricky was born on August 8, 1960 to Hubert and Mary (Miles) Barnhart in East Saint Louis, IL. He attended Greenfield schools. Ricky was employed as a truck driver and worked for several trucking companies in the area until his health declined. He was known for having a big heart and enjoyed making little children smile. Ricky liked tinkering on projects at home and also collected guns. Ricky kept to himself, but anyone who met him went away smiling and laughing. Ricky is survived by his daughter, Danielle (Zac) Collins of Carlinville, IL; step daughter, Jessica Manning of Jacksonville, IL; step son, Jeremia Killen of Kempner, TX; step granddaughter, Eliza Manning; five sisters, Reba (Phil) Haile of Manitowoc, WS, Donna (James) Bateman of Fairview Heights, IL, Barbara (Edgar) Bates of Fayetteville, IL, Bonnie (Gabriel) Guzman of Trenton, IL, and Charlotte (Steve) Lear of Jacksonville, IL; brother, Hubert "Bubby" Barnhart of Swansea, IL; several nieces and nephews. Ricky was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Judy Fischer. Private family services will be held at a later date. Memorials are suggested to the family. Davis-Anderson Funeral Home in Carlinville is in charge of arrangements.
