Obituary of Rose Mary Hoelting

Rose Mary (Keller) Hoelting, age 84, of Carlinville formerly of Farmersville, passed away Wednesday evening, April 13, 2016, at her residence in Carlinville, IL. Rose was born June 23, 1931, in Litchfield, IL, a daughter of Herbert and Mary (Leahan) Keller. Rose graduated from Farmersville High School with the class of 1949 and held a Masters Degree from Sangamon State University. She married Henry Bernard Hoelting on February 23, 1957 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Farmersville, IL and were married for over 59 years. Rose worked as a sales clerk at Myer's Brother's and Bergner's Department Store in Springfield for several years. After moving to Chicago, she was a secretary for Weigel Broadcasting (Channel 26). After retirement, the Hoeltings moved to Carlinville to enjoy their retirement. Rose was a active member of Ss Mary and Joseph Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus Auxiliary. She enjoyed sewing, reading, ironing and flowers. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at Ss Mary and Joseph Catholic Church in Carlinville, IL, on Monday, April 18, 2016 at 10:00 am with Rev Michael Haag and Rev. Jerry Bunse officiating. Family and friends may call from 2:00 to 6:00 pm, Sunday at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home in Carlinville with prayer service recited at 6:00pm. Burial will follow in St. Martin Cemetery in Farmersville, IL. Serving as pallbearers were, Ron and Tom Keller, Brandon Wallace, David L. Klaus, Marcus M. Davis and Bill Leefers. Rose is survived by her husband, Henry Bernard Hoelting, Jr. of Carlinville, IL, son, James Terrance (Micheline) Hoelting of Algonquin, IL, granddaughters; Jeanine Rose (Brandon) Wallace of Atwood, IL and Katherine Marie Hoelting of Algonquin, IL, sister, Margaret "Peggy" Keller of Springfield, IL, brother, James A (Linda) Keller of Farmersville, IL, brother, William Keller of New Orleans, LA, and several nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to Ss Mary and Joseph Church Building Fund or Catholic Charities. Please visit www.davisandersonfuneralhome.com to leave condolences or light a candle in her memory.
